Andrew LaFrence Joins Biothera Board of Directors


EAGAN, MN — August 29, 2011 — Andrew LaFrence, chief financial officer of CNS Therapeutics and a former KPMG audit partner, has joined the Board of Directors of Biothera, the immune health company announced today.

 

“Andrew is a financial expert and welcomed addition to our board,” said Dan Conners, Biothera chairman. “The depth of his experience in audit, finance, SEC reporting and guidance of late-stage private companies will enable Andrew to make a significant contribution to Biothera.”

 

During his 26-year career with KPMG, Mr. LaFrence became an audit partner and led the company’s Twin Cities Life Sciences and Emerging Companies practice while serving as a member of KPMG’s national Venture Capital practice.

 

He frequently consulted with clients on a wide variety of topics, including capital formation and structure, buy versus lease, compensation and human resources, working capital management and business development. Clients have included a wide range of companies ranging from large multinational enterprises to pre-revenue, venture capital-backed enterprises.

 

Earlier this year Mr. LaFrence became CFO of CNS Therapeutics, a post-revenue, venture capital-backed intrathecal drug company.
