Position: Research Assistant
Biothera is searching for a Research Assistant to support nonclinical and clinical programs through research focused on evaluating the effects of pathogen associated molecular patterns on the innate immune system.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibilities include analysis of serum drug levels and/or serum biomarkers from human serum/plasma/blood samples in a GLP environment.
- Secondary responsibilities include performing cell-based immunological assays, potency assays, and assay validation.
Primary Activities:
- Immunoassays and flow cytometry.
- Develop and validate assays and perform studies, including maintenance of relevant GLP documentation, generation of standard operating procedures, and reports.
Attention to detail and accuracy are critical to this position. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment; frequent communication with Biothera staff will include R&D, clinical, quality compliance, manufacturing, and sales.
Educational Prerequisite:
- BA or BS in biological sciences.
- Immunoassay experience essential.
- Experience in cell biology and immunology laboratory research. (particularly human innate immunity) a plus.
- Candidates with previous GLP assay experience will be given preference.
