Position: Research Scientist

 

Biothera is searching for a Research Associate/Scientist to support nonclinical and clinical programs through research focused on evaluating the effects of pathogen associated molecular patterns on the human innate immune system.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze serum drug levels and/or serum biomarkers from human serum/plasma/blood samples and develop and implement in vitro cell-based immunological assays for the purpose of identifying and characterizing biological and synthetic immune response modifiers.

Primary Activities:

  • Immunoassays and flow cytometry.
  • Isolation of human immune cells from peripheral blood, cell culture, and maintenance of cell lines.
  • Develop and validate assays and perform studies, including standard operating procedures and reports.
  • Maintain GLP and GMP records if applicable.

Attention to detail and accuracy are critical to this position. The candidate must be able to work in a team environment; frequent communication with Biothera staff will include R&D, clinical, quality compliance, manufacturing, and sales.

 

Educational Prerequisite:

  • BA, BS, or MS in biological sciences.
  • Experience in cell biology and immunology laboratory research (particularly human innate immunity) and with previous problem solving skills from biotechnology or pharmaceutical experience will be given preference.
  • GLP assay experience is a plus.
